This template categorizes an article as a weapon and displays information about the weapon.

Infobox Parameters:

These parameters will be included in a table in the upper left-hand corner of your page for a quick summary of key attributes.

  • type - The type of weapon (gun, sword, hammer, etc.).
  • damage - What kind of damage the weapon causes to targets (heat, crushing, slashing, plasma, etc.).
  • use - What type of entity is meant to wield the weapon (vehicle-mounted, handheld, heavy, etc.).
  • enemy - What target the weapon is meant to be used against (anti-personnel, siege, anti-aircraft, etc.).
  • tech - How advanced the technology behind the weapon is, in terms of current Earth technology.

Article Parameters:

These parameters will be organized under appropriate headings to form the main body of your body. All article parameters are optional, but intro, design, operate, and goal are highly recommended.

Note: Don't forget to include any desired formatting for these parameters!

  • intro - Write a short description of the weapon, up to one paragraph long.
  • design - A more detailed description of the design or schematics of the weapon.
    • material - A list of the materials and technologies included in the weapon's design.
    • build - The process involved with creating the weapon.
  • operate - An explanation of how the weapon is operated.
  • goal - Description of what type of combat the weapon is used for, what enemies it works best and worst against, etc.
  • history - This can be the history of how the weapon was developed, or the personal history of one particular weapon.
    • battle1 - The first major battle or fight the weapon was used in, if desired.
      • first - The name of the first major battle or fight the weapon was used in. Default is "First Great Battle".
    • battle2 - The second major battle or fight the weapon was used in, if desired.
      • second - The name of the second major battle or fight the weapon was used in. Default is "Second Great Battle".
    • battle3 - The third major battle or fight the weapon was used in, if desired.
      • third - The name of the third major battle or fight the weapon was used in. Default is "Third Great Battle".

Design

The Weapon has one handle for holding, with the trigger at the handle's top for easy access using the pointer finger. Atop the handle is the barrel, with 6 chambers for holding one bullet each, and a hammer on the back of the barrel.

Materials

Most Weapons are made using a metal such as steel, sometimes using a material like rubber on the handle for a better grip.

Operation

To use a Weapon, hold it in your dominant hand by the handle. Lift it up so the barrel points towards your target. Once your aim is set, pull down the hammer with your thumb or free hand to remove the safety, then pull the trigger to fire.

Tip: For increased stability when firing, hold the handle with both hands. For firing the entire magazine in a short amount of time, keep your free hand above the hammer so you can "fan" it, keeping the safety off for multiple shots.

Applications
